Samantha’s latest release, Oh Baby, hit the theatres amidst sky-high buzz and anticipation. The movie took off to a very good start in the USA.

This flick is an official remake of Korean drama Miss Granny. Let’s check whether the musical drama lives up to the hype or not.

Baby(Lakshmi) is seen as a liability by her family members, and they are fed up with her. One day, Baby has pushed away from the family.

However, Baby returns as a young woman (Samantha) later. She stands by her family members no matter what and tries to set things right. What will she do to get back with her family? Will she be successful in the process? These answers form the plot.

Artist Performances:

Samantha comes up with a standout performance. She carries the entire film on her shoulders with utmost ease and grace. This is easily one of the best performances by any actor in recent times, and that is for sure.

The likes of Naga Shourya and Teja play supporting roles. They deliver what is needed of them.

Other supporting actors Rajendra Prasad and Lakshmi are very good as well. They play their roles with great maturity and add a good vibe to the film.

Technical Finesse:

The director Nandini Reddy picked a very good subject that has great potential. She cooks it up with the right ingredients for most parts, but there are a few flaws in the second half.

Music by Mickey J Meyer is just decent. The audio album is not the best of his works in recent times.

Camera works are very good. Production values by Suresh productions are of top-notch quality. Every drama looks rich and vibrant. Art direction is good as well.

Final verdict:

Oh Baby is a rollercoaster which has an entertaining first half but has a few hiccups in the latter part. Samantha proves that she is a gem of an actress and delivers a spell-binding performance. The film will offer a new movie-watching experience to the viewers.
