Puri Jagannadh has come out all guns blazing with his latest movie Mehbooba. The star director roped in his son, Akash Puri and Neha Shetty for this new age entertainer. Let us check whether the movie clicks or not.

Mehbooba Moves on parallel timelines that sync 1971 with 2018. The sensitive love story has been given a vibrant approach. Akash and Mega are operated due to various contradicting issues and whether get back together or not forms the remaining storyline.

Akash is a fine actor and has shown a decent amount of grace and elegance in his performance. He has a good screen presence and manages to keep up the intensity.

Neha looks natural and came up with a captivating performance. Her ease of acting and natural abilities come as an added bonus to the young actress.

Puri Jagannadh tried out a different approach for th love story and has cooked up an engaging plot and storyline. However, the screenplay is not gripping enough and can put off the audience.

Music by Sandeepbis just about fine and the background score elevates a few scenes here and there. Camera works are top notch as they managed to capture vibrant locales.

Final verdict:

Mehbooba is a new age entertainer that runs on a complex storyline and better screenplay could have worked wonders for the movie. This is surely an honest attempt from Puri and he tried to keep things simple. Mehbooba is a decent watch but may not appeal to a section of the audience.
